Sew fun. . .

I had a little bit of time today to run over to the local Fabric store. Ok, so I pretty much said, "Watch the kids. I'm leaving." Whatever works, right? Before I went there, I made a list of a few things I'd need for some sewing projects. I picked 5 different projects and bought the fabric and most of the notions to complete them. The first thing I want to work on is a beautiful dress with pinafore for my daughter. I was looking for a blue toile print, but didn't find one. Instead, I found a lovely light blue fabric with pink roses. I'm hoping to have this little project completed for her birthday. She'll never remember the dress, but if it turns out nice, it'll make me feel crafty. I also have a pattern for a drawstring purse. I found a beautiful black brocade with purple and white flowers embroidered on it. I don't know how difficult the project will be, but I look forward to the challenge. I'll post pictures of completed projects as they're done. I also got supplies to make a pair of flannel pajamas for myself. I wanted a really cute print and was happy when I found a print with teapots on it. I also am making a tote bag and a blanket for my daughter. I'm hoping that the ambition I've had lately to be crafty continues into spring because I think I have enough to keep me busy until then. *wink*

Well, My husband already went to bed and I'm tired finally, too. I hope everyone has a good week.
