It is finally time for me to detail my adventures in Minnesota. I am sorry it has taken me so long, but I keep getting sidetracked. Anyways, here we go. It all started one Saturday morning in Geneva, Illinois. My dad came up, and we were ready to leave for Minnesota, bags in tow. We all bundled into the car and I Fell Asleep, for I had been up late the night before. About 45 minutes later, we pulled into an oasis and grabbed some McDonald's for breakfast, and we left soon after. I stayed awake this time, vowing to myself to finish my mix of songs on my iPod before we got there. The Hours Passed, and so did the songs. Because nothing of consequence happened during the trip, I'll forward to when we get there. We finally arrived, and after 6 hours in the car, it was a good thing for my ailing legs. Kate, Becca, and Ford all greeted us warmly, and made us feel very much at home. Then the party began and some of Kate's friends came. The party included the Olympics, working on my website, eating spaghetti and mostacholli, watching my incredibly embarrassing videos, and sharing jokes. After everyone left, we all settled in for the night. I continued to work on my website and Ford continued to help me out. This continued for a while until the family noticed my cell phone message is pretty old, so they insisted I recorded a new one. My old message was my interpretation of Van Halen's "Jump" while also coaxing the listener to leave a message. A similar scene was found in the movie Big Daddy. Anyways, I tried to redo "Jump", but with Ford playing the keyboard in the background. That didn't work. Neither did remixing "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" by Elton John. With little energy and even less motivation, I soon abandoned such efforts and went to bed. Sunday morning was very laid back. The family watched the Olympics while I, you guessed it, worked on my website. Hours passed until it was time to go to the Mall of America. I rode alone with Becca while the rest of the family packed in the van. We laughed at them. I fell asleep, but once I awoke, I joined Becca in singing Nelly's "Grillz". Once we finally got there, I split up with Ford and Katie and the four of us went to the Apple store. After years and years of Apple criticism from my part, I have to say that I was very impressed with some of the software that ran on Macs, and I was lured in by the awesomeness that was Live '06. A pack filled with a music editor, a photo editor, a movie editor, and a website editor, all in one. While I was regretting my Apple ignorance, Kate was deep into coversation with an Apple salesman, and she was going to buy a Mac. Oh. After another hour of comfirmation, Kate left with printer and Mac in hand(s). We then left to Applebee's, from which we departed to Becca's dorm to bid her adieu. Once we got back to Rochester, I worked on my website for a little bit, but soon went to sleep. The next morning was much more rushed, for we had to leave soon if we wanted to get back at a reasonable hour. After about 2/3 of the ride, we stopped at a Subway to eat. When we got back in the car, I was feeling very tired, and mom took advantage of this by asking me to help her out by doing a graph in Excel. I tried, failed, and had Jeff fixed it, so I guess I was marginally successful. Finally, we got home and I was very eager to get back to work on my website, and amidst all the excitement, I got my virus!
