Khachkar - Armenian Memorial Stele with carved cross and other symbolic motifs such as rosettes, interlaces, animals, botanical ornaments, etc., of distinctive meaning. The steles are usually created out of local materials, quite often of volcanic stone, and can weight up to several tons.
