The morning started very early with Supershuttle calling me at 4am, saying that they will arrive 15 minutes early to pick Lisa up from my place. Lisa is one of my best friends in Singabore and she left today after spending a week in my place.

After catching a few more dozes, I went to brunch with Gerald and Mike at Grill 21, at E. 21st, between 1st and 2nd Ave. Nice place, and the food was okay. Since I was the Pinoy, I did all the ordering. We got:

Sizzling Sisig (Yum! I didn't tell them it was Pig cheeks and ears)
Sinigang na Baka (because they both didn't like Baboy and Bangus)
Chicken Barbecue (blah)
Ginisang Munggo
Lumpiang Shanghai
Sago Gulaman (which tasted weird)
Mago Float (Yum!)

Overall, very good. Gerald got hit in the eye with a piece of sizzling sisig and everyone in the restaurant saw how powerful his vocal chords are.

After lunch, I went to Brooks Brothers and got a couple of shirts for the job interview season, which starts next week for me. I got shirts last week from H&M, but I'm still unsure whether I'll return them or not because the fabric is too flimsy. Lotsa BakTong potential there (Bakat Utong). So I went to Brooks. I had myself measured and my neck is now a gigantic 16-1/2, and my arms are a scrawny 32. I didn't fit the shirts at the store, so I got home only to find out that they're too huge for me. And I already got the slim fit ones! They are too long (up to my knees!), and too huge around the arms and waist.

I guess my neck is not proportional to the rest of my body? Jeez.

Shucks, back to searching for shirts. I'm tempted to go to Thomas Pink now, but the shirts cost $200 a pop.

I miss getting a paycheck.
