One of the best and purest things that I've ever witnessed in my life happened when I was in Vienna, Austria. My friend and I were walking back to our apartment there as something had happened with the streetcar.
Vienna is an extremely large city, and even though we felt rather comfortable with our surroundings I was still a little on edge because we did walk by a bar on that particular stretch. I suddenly felt like someone or something large was behind me and I chose to ignore it. However, it quickly became very impossible to ignore.
This very drunk girl walked by us with a massive traffic sign. These wooden traffic signs are every around Vienna to indicate construction and it was taller than I was. Then on the other side emerged what must have been her boyfriend and he apologized profusely to us on her behalf.
He then carefully put his arm around her shoulders and guided her to make sure she was safe and walked to the nearby Kebap stand. We then heard, "Can... Can I take the sign? Please?" she would not let him have the sign and proceeded to hold it.
So basically, find someone who will help you:
- Steal a Traffic Sign
- Guide you through the city with said traffic sign it.
- Apologize to the people you pass.
- Make sure you are safe while carrying said traffic sign.
