Tom Ford Fisherman Hook Hobo Bag

If you have ever read my previous BagBliss handbag blogs, Tom Ford is not a designer I write about all that often. To be honest I don’t think that Tom Ford’s namesake handbag line is as popular as their clothing and shoes. Nevertheless, I will see a style every once in awhile that really catches my eye and that is exactly what is happening here with the Fisherman Hook Hobo Bag Tom Ford’s Fall 2016 Bag Collection is said to be inspired by heroines of the late ’50s and early ’60s films – Kim Novak in Vertigo, Tippi Hedren in “The Birds,” and Grace Kelly in “To Catch A Thief.” When I look at this particular piece, I don’t really see that. What I do see is a simplicity that could only come from Tom Ford and unique details that couldn’t possibly be Tom Ford. Is that even possible? Apparently it is! I really like the unusual hardware on this piece. Oddly, the Neiman Marcus description says “fisherman hook”. I certainly wouldn’t call it a fisherman hook.
