Aww, hehehe

Hugs make me happy. ^_^ I'd had very few of them this summer . . . there aren't many people I get to hug often here at home, so I'd get maybe one hug every few weeks.

At work, though, there's a sweetheart of a boy who gives Lots and lots of hugs to everyone; he reminds me of a guy I knew back in high school who would give out high-fives to everyone in sight. Well, the first time Lucas hugged me, I was apprehensive due to not knowing him well and it being our first hug, and therefore did not give my all. "You're afraid of hugs." "What?" "You're afraid of hugs. You were all back here," and he demonstrated by leaning backward even as I protested that I love hugs. He also called me timid the first time we were working together; I admitted to being shy and timid, but he's helped me open up.

Well, after getting more comfortable around Lucas, we tried the hug thing again . . . and it worked. ^_^ So now I'm perfectly comfortable hugging him, and he's happy to hug. And he's such a nice guy, too. Always cheerful and on the verge of a smile. I think it's impossible to be in a bad mood around him. And he likes the Carebears! That's so cute! He's probably around sixteen or seventeen years old, but still . . . with his personality, it's absolutely adorable. And he gives me lots of hugs. ^_^ Yee!

Brandon, his girlfriend Nat (also from D&D), and I went down to Dayton to get that Bawls caffeine stuff this afternoon. It must've been hilarious to witness . . . three teenagers walking in to Comp USA, loading up a cart with two cases of Bawls each (I could feel the weight difference in the car when driving back), then wandering around the gaming section before checking out. Since Nat had never been to Toys R Us before and it was nearby, we of course had to take her there before leaving. I didn't find Settlers of Catan there, but that's ok; I'll look elsewhere, because I would like to take it back to college with me; maybe I'll find other players in Rogers. Brandon wants to get an Ouji Board after work tomorrow and give it a go on D&D night; since I don't believe in that crap, especially on modern, mass-produced boards (but hey, it's his money), it might be fun to get involved and screw around with anyone else involved. "In the near future, there will be a dragonett nesting in the hayloft of the barn. Walk softly lest ye tread upon one of its many crochet needles." Or, "You will find true love . . . in chocolate." Hey, who'd argue with that? If anything interesting does happen (or if they fall for my pranks), I'll be sure and post on it.

And here's a message especially for Ben, even though he probably won't get it for a few days: I finally changed the picture on my facebook profile! Happy now? =P

Eleven more days! While I don't want to leave, at the same time . . . my classes will be awesome! A new 400-level History class, American Women in the Victorian Era, just opened up recently, so I ended up dropping American History (oh, darn) in favor of it. So now I've got that, UCS, The Craft of Fiction, A Capella (hopefully . . . if I can ever decide on an audition solo!), England 55BC-1689, Ancient World Literature, and History of Ancient Philosophy. I just hope my professors prove worthy of the subjects! AWVE will cause me to be half an hour or so late for church choir rehearsal each Thursday, and it'll be a squeeze to get from there to UCS every Tuesday within the fifteen minutes between classes, but I'm sure everything will work out.

Am I forgetting something? Oh yes, it'll be nice to see all my friends from college again, too, and to meet those I haven't met yet. =P (No, don't worry, I didn't forget you folks.) My new roomie and I have exchanged notes, and she seems like such a nice girl! Maybe I'll end up staying in Rogers after all if I end up not wanting to leave, though I did warn her that I wanted to be in Kreischer (preferably) or Harshman and that I'd probably try and move as soon as feasible. She's cool with that, though, so hopefully it'll work out.

Yay!
