Driving home from Oneonta, I contemplated all of the many things for which I am Thankful. These are a few that have been in the forefront of my mind lately …

I am thankful for my family and friends; those whom I love, and who have been there for me when I’ve needed it most. I am thankful for those who have stood by me through thick and thin, and put up with my bullshit. I am a handful; I am fully aware of this, and am constantly amazed that anyone would want to put up with me. I hope to be able to one day repay those who have bestowed this kindness upon me.

I am thankful for my kid, who loves me no matter what. I am thankful for my job; because let’s be honest, not being able to pay the bills or buy food sucks dead donkey balls. I am thankful to have a roof over my head, a car that runs, and the freedoms that I enjoy every day. I am thankful for my health. The last couple of years have been rough, but I’m getting better.

There are so many little things I could go on and name, but those are the biggest. I’m a work in progress, still … but I’m getting better all the time.
