Feelings of pessimism are on the rise,
I’ve forgotten how to be wise.
Shadows of my past still do haunt me,
I have never felt this hungry,
for elation and warm embrace
from someone of this human race.
Alas goodbyes are necessary in this journey,
but how to say goodbye without saying anything?

I have never felt this low,
but I have my makeup to maintain my glow.
And it will be quite a long while,
that I’ll have to hide my tears with a smile.
