ROBERTSON ROCKS LEOPARDFALLS

Robertson Rocks Festival Main Stage Line-up

The Robertson Rocks Leopardfalls music festival organisers just announced their main stage line-up which boasts some of South Africa’s top emerging live performing artists. Performing under the full moon on the Robertson Rocks Main Stage and entertaining the crowd will be three of South Africa’s hottest Rock pioneers:

Taxi Violence is a regular national house hold rock favourite who from their inception have gone on to headline every major festival. They supported numerous international acts touring South Africa and have taken their brand of South African rock to shows abroad. It is no surprise that Robertson Rocks chose Taxi Violence as this year’s major headlining act.

Akkedis, South Africa’s Afrikaans rock n’ reggae trio, recently released their new album “Onder Ou Tafelberg” celebrating their twenty year anniversary as one of South Africa’s most popular performing rock n’ reggae artists. Robertson Rocks provides a perfect opportunity to honour these three legendary musicians.

Willim Welsyn peddled into the pool at the first Robertson Rocks in 2005, which also turned out to be the fateful day he met his wife. It could not be more fitting then to book Willim Welsyn as a headliner as we believe the adventure should continue; Willim Welsyn is well known for his many roles in South African music i.e. journalist, photographer, musician and podcaster.

Robertson Rocks stages the cream of the crop out of Durban, Cape Town and the greater Western Cape region’s emerging bands; Past Haunts, Dustland Express, The Inside Job, The Nasty Narcotics, Chris Ross, Ruben Gerritz Band, Savannah Collins, The Jumping Guns, Black Math, Drunk Girls, Young Hands, The Young Folks, Crow Dagger, Nuns or Ninjas, Serial Killer Dance Party, The Sisters.

Excitement builds as Robertson Rocks will be releasing their second stages line-up in the coming weeks. Cape Town’s new emerging event management gurus, Spacecake, will be taking over management and spicing up the second stage with 60’s décor, comedy jams, acoustic artists and a grand line up of rock and indie bands all rounded off with cool-cats spinning classic rocks vinyl’s.
