Did we enjoy Machine Gun Kelly’s performance at the 2021 VMAs?

Kelly makes VMA debut

Yes, in fact, we did.

On Sunday, Machine Gun Kelly made his MTV Video Music Awards debut by performing his single “Papercuts” alongside Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

The Performance boasted grunge trees and the flowers from Nirvana’s iconic “Heart-Shaped Box” video, seemingly paying homage to band. MGK started the performance appearing from a dirt grave with his face covered in thorns and ended the song by smashing his guitar and falling to the ground, very much like Kurt Cobain used to do at his performances.

Nomination at the 2021 VMAs

Machine Gun Kelly was up for Best Alternative Video for “My Ex’s Best Friend” at the 2021 VMAs. This is a track from his 2020 Barker-produced album Tickets to My Downfall.
