Arno Carstens unveils the music videos for two brand new singles
“With these two songs, a fuller picture takes shape of what will be the scope and depth of a fractured album release that will evolve in parts, and complete once all of the pieces are compiled .” – Arno Carstens
Singer-songwriter, Arno Carstens released his 3rd and 4th singles of 2019, “Don’t Let it Be” and “Out of the Blue”, as well as its videos, today.
Following his earlier releases this year, “Lift my Spirit” and “Empire of the Night”, Arno returns with two more pieces of the sonic puzzle that will ultimately form part of his 7th solo album.
In August this year, Arno began work with Charlie Hamilton (Backstage Studios) and the fruits of their labour resulted in the emotive ballad “Don’t Let it Be”. According to Arno it’s “an honest reflection and yearning for a positive outcome against the harsh nature of reality.”
Arno has chosen to release two singles simultaneously. The soft melodies of “Don’t Let it Be” (produced by Backyard Studios) and the up-tempo feel-good vibes of “Out of the Blue” (produced by The Nothing Club) sit on the opposite, and yet complementary, ends of the music spectrum.
The cover art for both singles was also designed by Arno Carstens.
The music videos were directed by Lionel Smit, a South African artist who pursues his craft in all manner of media with areas dedicated to sculpture, painting and printmaking.
