Slide Into The Weekend With Hudsons

As the sun sets earlier every evening and the mornings get colder, South Africans are quickly trying to make the most out of the last of the hotter days. Summer is very quickly coming to an end. Luckily, we have 2 more months of Autumn before we go into full hibernation. So, it’s time to really make these weekends count.

Enter The Pre-weekend Bash

As the days are getting shorter, we have to start our weekends earlier, of course. I mean, some weekends can start on Thursday, right!? So, I have found the perfect pre-weekend treat; I recently had the pleasure to try out Hudsons’ new sliders promotion which is their (delicious!) way of making sure your weekend starts with a bang. And they’ve fittingly called it #Slideintotheweekend

What is #Slideintotheweekend

So, here’s what you get: A minimum of 3 sliders of your choice, from a customised menu at only R20 each. The menu will change every week, but you can look out for delicious classics such as The Cheese, The Hudson, The Player and The Boss, to name just a few! Vegetarian options are obviously also available.

Each mini burger has a story. Its ingredients, name and recipe are all hand-selected and perfected by the owners, Ross and David. It’s a simple recipe that starts with a beef patty made with the finest cuts and then topped with the freshest ingredients of the season. They are all made to be damn good burgers topped with clever combinations that result in a sensational explosion.

Add a beer or a cider to 3 sliders of your choice, and your bill will come to just under R100… that’s R100 for a really delicious lunch or dinner. If you add an extra side and a cocktail, your bill will still be under R150! Now that’s how you want to slide into the weekend!

These sliders are perfect for get-togethers with friends, date night or special occasions with larger groups. Having pre-drinks and snacks? Go for the sliders! Want to make a big meal out of it? Top up the slider with their famous sweet potato fries! Basically, every Thursday should be “sliders day”.

My personal favourites

I tried 4 sliders and they were all unique and really delicious, but the The Cheese & The Stomper came out on top. Make sure to try these two!
