There’s Something Special About Flowers

Flowers!  I always did Love flowers.  I took an aptitude test once that indicated I would excel as being a florist.

Excel as a Florist!!!

I don’t even know the names of flowers after I get to roses!!

But I do love flowers.  When I lived in St. Petersburg, Florida I bought 6 unique rose bushes and after planting, nursing and loving them I came to find out accidentally that the soil would play a large part in what would bloom.  And I was supposed to excel as a florist!  Ha!



But, I still love flowers….

  No that’s not a flower and I know that……I just like the picture.  I took this on one of my trips to the Florida Keys.  Usually I have a beer or two but on this occasion I went for a frozen concoction.  I’m at Marathon Key here.

Back to the flowers…. 



Everywhere I go, I’m looking for flowers.  And really not just flowers but plants in general.  And I don’t know ‘jack shit’ about plants either!   I do the what the ‘agave’ plant looks like, I had one (yes only one) at my house in St. Petersburg, Florida. 



I’m surrounded by jungle, so I’m always stumbling on something a tad unfamiliar.  While in Puerto Rico I came upon this fruit.       Just they way it grew had me mesmerized!  Seriously!  Just right out of the trunk or in the middle of a branch.

Back to the flowers……

As I’m writing this I’m thinking perhaps I should start cataloging my findings…..not as if they were new, but from what country and where I was visiting.  And hell!!  I’ll even put out an effort to find out the flowers name!

I know, I’ll never cease to amaze.

Flower Power….

Flowers appeal to our sense of well being…..   Who gets angry and want to argue because of a flower?  There’s power in the flower!  All hail the flower!!!  And they are a good piece offering for the lady in your life.  I’m not sure the giving of flowers in advance counts towards any future problems…..unless she has some sort of punch card program.

Flowers!!  



One plant that I fell in love with when I moved to Florida was ‘sea grape’.  I’m not sure of what the real name is but I just loved it!!  Grew wild!

Anyway…..

    What are some of these called, I’m clueless but my lack of knowledge doesn’t take away my appreciation of their uniqueness and beauty……

I feel so up close and personal…..intimate with these lovelies.  And I wouldn’t dare pick one, they would die.  Yes they will die sooner or later, but they have purpose of life where they are.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to access all my photos at the moment I’ve encountered some rather stubborn tech problems and I’m still working on a work around before I get back to the states….
