I Stand Here Over The Toilet…!

Why am I Standing over the toilet…….????

Yeah….it’s not what you think.  No nausea…. nothing of that sort.

But I am standing over the toilet.  And what I have to say doesn’t have anything to do with my member.

But, it does have to say with…….that!

Okay, I get frustrated.

But, it’s your right to say what you want……but does it have to be so negative!!!!

Look!!!  The last time I was completely, absolutely happy with any president was Nixon!  Yeah!  For real!!!

There I was in the bowling alley at LSU.  Today was my day.  I really didn’t know what to think, I wasn’t a good student and I had no special talents to speak of.  I was just another John at the mercy of the government.

In a moment…..my life change.  You see, President Nixon terminated the draft on the very day my number was to come up.  That very moment!!  I’m in the bowels of the LSU Union ……I’m playing pool.  Right over there is the bowling lanes.  I’m having to hesitate for a moment……the memory. I know where I was at, what I was doing, who I was with!!!!  It’s yesterday in my mind!  Gratitude.  Yet a bit of sorrow for those who weren’t as fortunate. Some of those were my childhood friends.

You see….unlike today, we were drafted into the army……a number came up and you were on a trip. Like it or not, adios! Hello Vietnam!!!

We have a different world…..and sadly, what I have to say won’t make that difference.

So……what’s the issue?  And what’s this thing about standing over the toilet??

You see.  I’m not totally happy with what’s going on in our little world right now.  There’s just so much angst….uncertainty, ANGER!!!  ANGER!!!

Why?

Oh, look this can fit in to any bit of comfort of a belief.  But, that’s not it!

This is a different America.  And that’s not a good thing.

This America is the one that cowers to another country.  It gives away that which belongs to it’s most needy and faithful.

I Stand Here Over The Toilet…

This country seems to try to buy the favoritism of those which want to destroy our essence of greatness.  Money it seems…..whether we have it or not (it seems we’re owned) doesn’t matter.

Looking over my toilet?

Well, it’s more dependable than a politician! I know that it’ll do the deed!!!  It’s just that it’s this moment….and I’m standing over the toilet.  It’s a simple thing.  But yet, it……it’s like everything else in life. The next moment is coming.

Yeah, that sounds silly too!!!
