Eliminate To Facilitate…

I’ve realized for some time now that there is just too much garbage out there to be read.

The quality of what we put in our minds is related to the quality we get out.  It’s gotten me to the point of entirely too much frustration.  So, I have to make some changes.  The easiest change or I should say the most effective change would be to stay off the internet.  Yeah, but that wouldn’t be easy after all.

The problem with staying off the internet for me is that……well it’s where I’ve worked for the past 8 years and it’s where I will continue to work.

Therefore, I must ‘eliminate to facilitate’.

News is now fabricated.  The journalist merely use the supposition as the basis to a story.  It’s like chasing a rabbit!  It’s completely useless.  While I have to award kudos in the creativity department, it’s a big fat F in the news arena.

The ‘news’ journalist (and I use that term very loosely…) prop up their story with a bit of sensationalizing headline.  When you delve into the story you find out that there is actually no substance to the article, it’s all speculation, some just outright misleading and we’ve just wasted our time and damaged our intellect.

Then we have what I call ‘counterfeit news sites’.  I’m not gonna make any friends here but it’s the truth.  They cater to their respective political view points.  Salt their stories with a tad of truth and use that to prey upon their vulnerable reader.  This happens with both sides….conservatives and liberals alike.  Don’t waste your time there but should you venture their because that have tickled your ears, look for how much fact is there as to how much opinion is proliferated.

So, I’m eliminating to facilitating a more substantive venue of intellectual stimulation.

BUT WHERE?????!!!!!!????

Selective reading.  Finding more factual sources takes an effort but educating one’s self regarding certain subjects and world happenings can better regulate the sources and content.

For the most part, I’m looking for my personal consumption.  Selfish you may say.  Yeah, that’s fine with me, if you’ve time to judge, I’ve time to ignore.

Selfishly…..I’m out to better myself, my experiences, my understandings, my knowledge. Hell I’m out to squeeze out as much enjoyment as I possibly can!!!  I don’t need the negativity and angst that this mainstream world has to offer.  There’s more to life……and I’m out to grab it and enjoy.  It just won’t be found on CNN, FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC, Liberal Journal News Sites, Conservative Journal news sites, or the likes of comedians making non-newsworthy commentary like they know what the fuck they are talking about and their unwitting audience is consuming.

Sometimes we’re smitten with the entertainment aspect and swallow the deceit that poisons and deviates our understanding and beliefs.

Eliminate to facilitate…

I believe, that if the audience is removed, that which is ignored will wither away.
