I finally decided to try a different Powder after using my trusted Rimmel London Stay Matte powder for years. I tried out the Maybelline Fit Me Powder and I have to say I wasn’t really a fan.
First of all I really don’t like the packaging, the powder pan is round in square packaging this means all the powder goes over the edge and you end up loosing and wasting a lot of the product. There is a little sponge in the bottom compartment which makes the packaging thicker and more bulky. This was annoying as it takes up a lot of space in my make up bag.
The product itself is very thin and lightweight and I think it could be good for people who want to make their face look more matte. I found that my foundation didn’t stay on my face as long as usual and I had to keep reapplying the powder to keep my face looking matte. I was disappointed by this because I do not have oily skin and haven’t had a problem with keeping my face looking matte before.
Pros and Cons:
Pros
- It is a reasonable price (£6.99).
- It comes with a sponge.
Cons
- The packaging is very bulky.
- It doesn’t keep my foundation lasting all day.
- The powder is very messy and falls out of the pan easily.
I was expecting this powder to be better as I love other Maybelline products especially their foundation from the same range. Let me know if you have tried this powder before and what you thought of it, maybe I just had a bad experience and it didn’t work well for my skin. I would love to hear what your favourite powder is as I am still looking for an alternative to my Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
