As Comic Con and conventions are understandably pushed back to 2021, Warner Bros have announced an interactive, virtual experience for Film fans around the world - DC FanDome, a free fan experience where no badge is required.

I've said it countless times before but Warner Bros. has always known to put on a film event to promote their films. Now, with the World on lockdown, they've created an extra special global event which celebrates all things in the DC Universe. Starting at 10 a.m. PDT (that's 4pm UK time) on Saturday, 22nd August, Warner Bros. will welcome fans everywhere to DC FanDome.

In a nutshell, the event will be a 24 hour online experience celebrating DC’s past, present and future via DCFanDome.com. Much like San Diego Comic Con, the event will feature high anticipated new announcements, previews and exclusive footage from the DC Multiverse, WB Games, Film and TV, and comics, as well as an unprecedented opportunity to hear from the casts and creators behind favourite feature films and TV series. This includes and is not limited to Aquaman, Batman, Batwoman, Suicide Squad, Justice League, DC Super Hero Girls, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Wonder Woman 1984 and many more.

As a global event, fans will also get access to localized events, featuring the faces and voices from countries around the world in their local language. No matter where you live, your age or your level of fandom, there is something for you.

So, how will it all work? Well, the epi-centre of the DC FanDome is the Hall of Heroes, where you can experience special programming, panels and content reveals from a wide variety of films, TV series and games, available in several languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. For those who wish to delve deep in to the DC Multiverse, there are several additional satellite worlds, each with its own specific content and unique activities for all ages:

DC WatchVerse - Here's where you grab a seat, sit back and join our virtual audience and become completely engrossed in hours of must-see content from around the world. Everything from panels and exclusive screenings to never-before-seen footage, featuring cast, creators and behind-the-scenes crew from across DC Films, TV, Home Entertainment and Games.

DC YouVerse - Venture into this world to see the most amazing user-generated content, cosplay and fan art from around the world, including, perhaps, your own.

DC KidsVerse - Need a way to entertain your kids for hours on end? This area features a broad range of family-friendly content for our younger fans.

DC InsiderVerse - This creativity-based world contains a centrepiece video featuring legendary artist and DC CCO/Publisher Jim Lee, President of DC-Based Film Production Walter Hamada, and creator of the DC TV Arrowverse, Executive Producer Greg Berlanti, welcoming fans with a 101-style introduction to the DC Multiverse. From there, go behind the scenes with the master artisans who bring DC to life in all its forms, from comic books to games, TV, movies, theme parks, consumer  products, and more.

DC FunVerse - Take your DC FanDome experience and gather cool shareables; check out our comic book reader; DIY cool WW84 Golden Armor and Batmobile kits; plus digital giveaways and a store filled with merchandise, including some limited-edition exclusives.

Outside of the multi-verses, also The Blerd & Boujee House will be the second annual celebration of Black nerd culture returns with the all-new Blerd & Boujee House at DC FanDome.

For more information on how you can take part this August, you can check out Warner's official site, DCFanDome.com for updates and news. But tell me, would you want to join Warner for DC FanDome? What do you hope to see from the announcements and previews? I, for one, can't wait to hear more about the upcoming release of Wonder Woman 1984 and more from Harley Quinn - could we be getting a Birds of Prey follow-up? As always, I love to read your comments so please do share your thoughts below.

Until next time film fans,
