The Odd Job

I get a bigger rush from my new job then entering a Public Speaking Competition.

No kidding, and I get a big rush every time I enter a public speaking competition. The audience is usually having a good time too, they’re laughing, and we’re talking and I’m shaking like an alcoholic.

And my new job gives me more of a rush than that.

I must love it.

You just can’t help but get a rush when you’re showing people an opportunity to shop for more economical, and environmentally friendly products like laundry detergent. And make money at the same damn time.

It’s a shopping decision and like my little sister said, “If I could buy everything online. I would.”

Online shopping is the future and I don’t know how anybody could refuse shopping at our store. They don’t fear the products, they fear what’s called “Revenue Sharing.” Nobody wants to sell to their friends. So don’t, ten babies are being born right now, and now, and…

People hear revenue sharing and they think Amway, or pyramid scheme. These same people shop at Costco, Superstore, Whole Paycheque (Foods), No Frills, etc… I have to wonder how those companies don’t qualify for pyramid scheme??

You must know the CEO of Costco makes over one million dollars per year. Nobody else makes that much. I bet some of the employees complained about small paycheques last month. Of course employees will tell you that Costco is known for good wages and good benefits. My friend had his accounting degree paid for by Costco… but the point is that the biggest cheques start to the top, and the amount gets smaller as it flows down to the employees. Just like a pyramid except there is no money left to give the consumers. The only thing the customer gets is a good return policy, and 2 cent savings on gas.

I’m not saying there is anything wrong with a pyramid, pyramids are in fact very awesome.

Pyramids are also very old. Now we have rectangles.

Not quite as majestic, and pardon my culturally undiverse neighborhood… I was just getting the free pics off Google to show you a better way of doing business. It all starts with one man, Peter. You see Peter used to work for a box store but he was overworked and underpaid. He was open to opportunity when Samantha came along and said, “Hey Peter, if I could show you the opportunity of a lifetime, would you at least take a look at it?”

Peter said yes. Samantha sat down with Peter and showed him how he could get paid to shop for products he already used. Peter tried over 60 products and that’s when he had his Aha moment. A light bulb went off. Peter shared his experience with Paul. Paul’s family fell in love with the products and at the block BBQ Paul found himself telling Georgia, who told the Smith family and that’s when things spread to the next neighborhood. I mean, is it really necessary to drive to the store every time you need toothpaste?

Some people think driving to the store for toothpaste, and deal shopping is important, and that’s fine. There are thousands of other people who think different. Especially when the price of toothpaste online is the same as the store.

The difference between the two business models is how the manufacturing companies advertise. Box stores spend billions on advertising, and brand names spend just as much. The private manufacturing Company Samantha Works for hasn’t spent a dollar on advertising in 30 years of operation. Yet in 2015 the private manufacturing company Samantha works for did 1.3 Billion Dollars Worth of business.

Now you don’t just ‘do’ one billion dollars worth of business in a word of mouth industry unless you have the best dang product on the market.

Let me remind you that when somebody changes his or her life because of you, there is no greater reward.

The downside to this job is that you have to take a lot of rejection. I’ve already taken a lot and that’s what I love more than public speaking!!! Rejection get’s me excited.
