Advanced Internet Marketing

I’ve wanted to be an Advanced internet marketer since the days of dial up internet. I had a dream of travelling the world with my computer not caring about the day of the week. Five years ago I took the plunge and started working on the internet. For five years something was always missing.

Of course I didn’t know it until…

A guest speaker attended my Toastmasters (public speaking) club and told a story about 28 explorers who survived an almost fatal expedition to the North Pole, before it was the North Pole. “It was around October,” she said, and I’m paraphrasing, “When the weather turned cold and ice appeared in the waters, and the sailors thought the ship could withstand the ice. Boy were they wrong, and giant ice buckled their ship like a toothpick.”

Now this may not seem like it has anything to do with advanced internet marketing but hang in there.

The story was not just about how 28 sailors made it out alive!!! It was also about choosing the right people to work with. Our guest speaker said, “The reason all 28 explorers survived is because they all had the same vision, and they were all in align with how to achieve it.” Our guest speaker had us think about our goals, and who it would be important to surround ourselves with in order to achieve our goals.

A brisk half hour walk home gave me the chance to reflect on that particular story. You can live the life of your dreams.

Later that afternoon I was leaving comments on our Toastmasters Facebook group when Neil Patel’s sponsored ad was featured in my timeline. I clicked the link.  A webinar was starting in 5 minutes. I joined the webinar and 1.5 hours later I put 1,357 Canadian Dollars on my credit card for Neil’s advanced internet Marketing course.

That is my biggest Facebook purchase to date, and it all happened through my phone.

I didn’t previously know anything about Mr. Patel, and I certainly wasn’t expecting to spend any money but the stars were aligned. Of course it’s not my first crack at advanced internet marketing training.

Five years ago I gambled $5,200 to get an online internet marketing certificate. My most successful project was a hypnosis blog that Alexa.com ranked in the top 16,000 Canadian websites. My site didn’t attract loads of visitors but they stuck around for over 12 minutes/visit.

(Check out my hypnosis MP3’s here)

I joined Neil Patel’s advanced internet marketing course so I could start again with a new crew, and new material to follow. You can restart anytime you are ready.

Neil Patel’s Blog Alexa.com Global Rank: 8,144

Rank In India: 1,434

Monthly Web Traffic: 2 two million visitors

Average Time Spent/Visit: 2:43

I dropped my hypnosis blog December 2015 and moved to my domain www.devinbisanz.com. Unfortunately I wasn’t motivated to work on the internet anymore and this blog got off to a slow start.

Current position:

Devin’s Blog Alexa.com Global Rank: unknown

Monthly Web Traffic: unknown

Average Time Spent/Visit: unknown

Again, it doesn’t matter because…

Now lets talk about advanced Internet marketing.

The concept is simple, you choose a niche that you love, identify the top 5-10 competitors, dissect your top competitors, do what they do better to dominate the keyword traffic.

I know it sounds wonderful but remember that your competitors often have employees to look after social media, content editing, and copy write. Most of my competitors have hundreds, or thousands of back links from high ranking sites like msn.com, amazon.com, and huffingtonpost.com. In order to keep up with my competitors I need 2,000 backlinks leading to my blog, and  mind-blowing content on Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Instagram.

I Know, Advanced Internet Marketing Is Pretty Overwhelming.

Luckily Neil drips the course into bite-sized pieces. Now I just have to hang in there!

This blog will be our practice.

Help me out by answering my hypothetical questions.

Warm Regards,

Devin Bisanz
