My Favorite Line Of Liquid Lipsticks Is This Brand

When it comes to the lips, I’m a lipstick girl all the way. It’s not that lip Glosses are any less effective at giving a beautiful lip color, it’s just that I don’t like the sticky feeling on my lips. Now that the geniuses behind beauty products have started creating liquid lipsticks, I feel I can have the best of both worlds without compromising my comfort.

Getting the chance to try out Studio Gears’ True Whipped Gloss Stain line, was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. While these are described as Whipped Gloss Stains’, I see them as more of liquid lipsticks because the colors rival that of other popular liquid lipsticks (ahem, you know the ones I’m talking about ;)) .

Before I get into the specifics of what you should know when researching this product, let’s just take a moment to appreciate their beauty.

Who Is Studio Gear?

If you’re not familiar with Studio Gear, they are a cosmetics company who believes that your makeup should work for you and they’ve formulated their products to be professional makeup artist quality but still accessible to all women through their own expression and confidence.

They have so many different products that are worth checking out as well such as foundations, concealers, primers, eyeshadows, mascaras, liners, blushes (& brushes) and even skincare products.

What Do I Think?

I’ll be honest with you, when I first opened these glosses and took them out of their pretty little packaging, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of these glosses because I didn’t think they were going to come in such a big size. I mean, they aren’t huge but they’re a nice size for the amount of product you get.

I also love how sleek the packaging is. I’ve seen a lot of glosses that might have a great formula, but the design of the packaging is awful. Studio Gears’ nailed their design. It’s pretty evident in the pictures just how good it looks.

Another pleasant surprise that I didn’t see coming was the fact that all of the shades are highly pigmented. Oh, and I Love, LOVE the fact that shade you see on the packaging and outside the box are exactly Identical, so you know what you’re getting.

How Does It Wear?

Whenever I read reviews on products a lot of times I tend to skip straight to the part of the review where you find out whether or not the product works as described. I’m sure that’s why you came to this section as well, so I’ll cut to the chase. Here’re the positives:

  • Easy application
  • SUPER- pigmented
  • Long- lasting (no really!)
  • Velvety texture
  • Nice color range

Negatives:

  • A tad bit drying
  • Price point is not my favorite

I thought I would elaborate a little bit more on each point of interest. So for the positives, let’s start with the easy application. When I said I was a lipstick girl earlier, there still is a downside to applying with regular lipsticks. The sticks tend to be too wide which makes it hard to apply in very narrow corners of the lips.

With the liquid lipsticks and this brand, in particular, the doe foot applicator makes narrow corners or any other hard to reach corners easy to get to. No more uneven lipstick! Win!Win!

Pigmentation is so important when it comes to makeup because if it takes more application of a product to get visible color, then you end up running out of the product quicker than you should and that’s another thing that makes me love these glosses!

I’m sure duration is super important to you when it comes to lipstick. You’ve found exactly that with these glosses and I say that with the utmost sincerity because I’ve been applying these glosses early in the morning every day and by 5 p.m. there’s still color present. Yes, it may not be as apparent as when you originally applied it, but there will still be visible remnants of a stain which is kind of what this gloss is anyway.

Ok lastly, let’s talk about the velvet texture and color range I spoke about earlier. When I said that these glosses have a velvet texture, I was referring to how matte they are. I myself prefer a matte lipstick over one with sheen. I know this may seem insignificant to some, but it’s a top priority on my go to makeup list.

As far as the negatives go, I said that these glosses can be a Tad Bit Drying, but I made sure to say tad bit because they aren’t drying enough that I would rant about it. They aren’t super moisturizing but they do feel silky with only a slight bit of drying feeling. If you want to read about the price, then skip to the next part.

I Bet You Want To Know About The Price…..

I couldn’t end a review without mentioning the price because if you look at all my other posts and my about page, you’ll see that having affordable beauty options is one of my main goals. Yes, I listed the price as a negative when I listed the positives and negatives, however, I decided to go ahead and add these on my blog because Studio Gear is actually going to give all Echanning readers a discount for buying their first product, (skip below for coupon code) so I feel it fits perfectly with my blog values.
