Hi Everyone, I'm back!! I felt the need to take a break from blogging for a few months to deal with some things that had quite a negative affect on my life. So grab a cuppa, sit back and let me tell you what's been going on.

Where should I begin? Let's start with my Mental Health. Back in August, whilst watching my favourite show, a certain storyline triggered me, took me back to something that happened to me a few years back when I was in my 20's. I didn't want to talk about it, tried to hide it away but it was no good. Moments later I had a full blown panic attack, which my husband witnessed, and then it all came tumbling out.  Over a matter of weeks it happened a good few times as the storyline progressed, mixed with another storyline that also triggered me. I know you are probably asking yourself, why didn't she just stop watching? Honestly, it was the best thing that could have happened. It got everything out in the open and meant I could finally let it go, to an extent.  I no longer felt ashamed.

University has been quite full on this year. The module I am currently studying, Mental Health and Community, has been very demanding. Well, it is second year after all. I am absolutely loving it. What I learn from this module can be applied to the group that I run. Speaking of the group, Peace of Mind has been running for over a year now and is still going strong. 

I do have some big news. Back in February, I attended an interview for the position of nursing assistant on the mental health team, for a local NHS health board. I am pleased to say, I got the job and once my occupational health checks have been completed next month, I will be given my start date.

So yeah, that's whats been going on.  I hope to update the blog as and when. As you now know, life is a little hectic just now.
