7 Things To Do In Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is the capital and the most populous city (over 8 million people) in Thailand. Bangkok is definitely the crazyest city I have ever been to. You can find everything there - the good, the bad and ugly. The city was definitely something different, but I totally fell in love with it. Here are the top 8 things you should definitely do if you happen to be in Bangkok.

1. Eat Like A Local

Bangkok is known for the best city for street Food in the world. And rightly so! You should definitely visit local food markets or just eat on the street. The food is super delicious and different. Whenever there is people, you can find street food everywhere you look. Besides to great taste, street food is also super cheap. We never paied more than 4€ for two. How great is that?

2. Chinatown in Bangok

Bankok`s Chinatown is one of the largest Chinatowns in the world, and you can definitely tell it is big if you visit it. It was founded in 1782, and most people who lived there were Chinese. Today it is a very cool place to visit, really popular tourist attraction. You can find nice souvenir shops, lovely places to eat, beautiful temples and much more there.

3. Siam Discovery

Siam shopping centre is a shoppers paradise where you can also find good food. Many people say that you can not leave Bangkok without visiting Siam Discovery and I totaly agree with it. It ia a modern place where you can find well-known brands and much more. Also a lovely place to escape the heat outside.

4. Take a public transport

Bangkok has numerous transport options available - BTS Skytrain, MRT Subway, buses, taxis, tuk-tuks and more. I really loved BTS Skytrain, because you can see the amazing views of Bangkok while being on a train. Also taking a bus was an experience of a lifetime. The old bus filled with locals, that was nice and different. Oh, and the taxi is super cheap there. Tuk-tuks are nice for the experience, but they are quite expersive, so we only took a tuk-tuk one time.

5. Wat Arun Temple

Bangkok has a lot of amazing temples, but Wat Arun is my favorite. It is situated on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. The location is so nice and the design is very different to the other temples you can see in Bangkok. We sent over hour there and totally fell in love with this temple.

6. Lumpini Park

Lumpini Park is a inner-city heaven where you can find fresh air and shade from the sun. It has many trees and lakes. There are also so many things to do. You can rent kayaks, small boats and sail on the lake. Oh, and we also found so cool big lizards there. How cool is that? Besides to this, many people come there to run and exercise.

7. Go and see how the locals live

Go to the poor areas of Bangkok and see how the locals live. Bangkok is amazing, you can see everything from rich people who live in castles and skyscapers and people who live in the slumms. I loved to wlk around the slumms and see the real Bangkok. It was something so different and eye-opening.
