Phuket is a southern province of Thailand. It consist of the island of Phuket and another over 30 smaller islands off its coast. There are plenty of memorable things to do in Phuket and the following list is a my pick of the things that you should definitely not miss while being in Phuket. Take a look below and let me know what sparks your interest. 

We stayed in Patong Beach area, that is on the west coast of Phuket Island. And what can I say, it`s a nice beach, also the most visited beach in Phuket. So for a bustling city beach it is and awesome place. I have heard some rumors that this beach is crowded and dirty. I found it otherwise. It was clean, the sea was nice. It`s good for swimming, sunbathing, shopping, eating and massages. Oh, and it had one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen. 

Freedom beach is for surely the prettiest beach on Phuket, with increadibly soft white sand and crystal clear blue waters. It`s just nearby Patong Beach. We took an hour walk from Patong to Freedom Beach, and it was a definitely a hard workout, but if you want to get there by easiest way, then you can take a longtail boat from Patong, Kata, Karon or Kamala Beach. As I alrady mentioned, the beach is beautiful and it`s definitely a great place to relax and enjoy increadibly clear and warm water. 

If you like monkeys, then you should definitely visit Monkey Hill. We rented a scooter and drove there from Phuket. It was about 30-minute drive and the hill itself is quite steep. In Monkey Hill, there are about 400 macaques in total who live in groups all over Monkey Hill. The monkeys there are not agressive and not approach people as I saw them in Monkey Beach in Phi Phi Island. So if you wanna see the monkey then this is a perfect place to do it. 

Big Buddha is one of the most important landmarks on the Phuket Island. The statue is located on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Kata and Chalong. The atmosphere aroung Big Buddha is very relaxed and peaceful. The views from around and the statue itself are absolutely breathtaking. You can see the montains, the seal, city etc. 

It is the third-longestbeach on Phuket, situated between Patong and Kata beach. About 7 km from Phuket.  It is also one of the most popular holiday destinations on Phuket Island. We spent the day at Karon Beach. It is clean, lovely and a great beach if you wanna quieter day at the beach. The sea is clear and clean. There are also nice shops and cafes around the beach area. 

Tri Trang Baeach is a lovely small beach just near Patong, so if you want to get away from the hussle of Patong, then you should definitely visit Tri Trang Beach. It is a quiet, secluded place that is ideal for sun lovers. Just remember that there are not many bechside trees offering shade like in other places, so for tanning it is great, but remember not to get sunburnt. :)
