Monthly reflection: May 1st

I'm just one month into my Shopping Diet, but decided to do a one-week recap so that my recaps can be on the 1st of the month each month. Being organised is more important than being sincere to me, evidently.


Time on shopping diet so far:

Just one week. 

Reflections on the month:

Ok, so it's only been seven days, but I already feel like an immense weight has been lifted. There were a few situations when I could have gone into clothes shops to have a browse, like I usually would have, but instead I didn't. On one occasion I had a half hour wait for the bus, and instead of going to walk around two or three shops like some sort of zombie, I just stood and read my book. 

I was fortunate that the two days I was on fieldwork there was lunch available, but I did also bring some snacks those days just in case. I removed all the stuff from my Amazon cart so I can just forget about it.

Last night I went through two months of expenses and inputted them into my Excel spreadsheet. I now have a clearer idea of what my frivolous spends are.

Hard moments:

Absolutely none. It's been a joy.

Going forward: 

This is just the beginning, baby.
