I live in the Midwest. I know, that's my problem. I normally love living where I live. I love that we live in a big college football town! I especially love that this college football town is home to my alma mater -- The Ohio State University! GO BUCKS!
Summers are wonderful here! Although I don't like the cold (& I dislike the winters more & more every year), I have to admit that the spring & fall seasons are gorgeous. The only downfall to living where I live is the cold. Granted, it's not Chicago-cold or Minnesota-cold; thank goodness! But it can still get mighty chilly! I hate the cold. I always joke & say that in my previous life I lived on a tropical island, & this is why I dislike the cold so much. That's my story, & I'm sticking to it.
So every year we go through the changing of the seasons -- spring into summer into fall into the dreaded winter. I hate it. I hate the cold. I know that's harsh, but it's just so yucky & miserable & cold at this time of year. I never know how I'll make it through the winter once fall arrives. I do though. I break out my bulky sweaters & color coordinate my scarves & gloves to my wool coats & parka. I curse myself for removing that little bottle of hand lotion from my bag. I debate whether or not to wear socks with my Uggs. I snuggle up in the blankies that the dog hasn't dragged from the living room or my bedroom. I think that it's 1 more day closer to spring flowers. Ah... I feel warmer just thinking warm thoughts as I sip my delicious, freshly-brewed Dunkin' Donuts coffee.
One of these years my hubby & I will pack it all up & move to a much warmer climate. I'm thinking somewhere in the southern part of the Eastern time zone. What do you all think?
