And the winner is Loreen with Tattoo although Finland’s artist Käärijä with Cha Cha won the majority of the people’s votes. He was one of the few acts who preformed in the native language. Ukraine sent another artist this time Tivorchi got to represent Ukraine in Liverpool and they finished 12th or 13th with their song Heart of Steel.

Although I feel bad beyond words for Ukraine the fact that they didn’t come near another win means that Eurovision won’t have to be hosted in another country on behalf of Ukraine. Then again if Australia ever wins it is stated that they will never host Eurovision in Australia.

Due the war Russia and Belarus have been banned from competing in many international sports tournaments and yes, it means they weren’t participating in this year’s Eurovision.
