Chelsea FC was founded in 1905 in Fulham South West London. Their home arena is Stamford Bridge.

In 2003 the Club was purchased by Russian oligark and billionarie Roman Abromovich.

Not long after the Russian invasion of Ukraine Abromovich announced he would step down as active owner, nog long after he made it known he was interested in selling the club the proceeds would be donated to the Ukraine military.

Eventually Abromovich was put on UK’s list of sanctioned oligarks and billionaries thereby stopping the supposed sale of Chelsea FC. The club would no longer be able to sell or by new players, nor sell any game tickets. It was further explained that the owner and the club had to be more resourceful and economical with their spendings and expenses.

I feel sorry for the soccer players, and naturally for Ukraine. Now the club faces an uncertain future of bankruptcy as early as in 80 days.
