While I’m a mortgage broker by trade, I have a side business I share with my husband. He’s a surfer who loves the ocean, yet I hate the water. What we have in common is a deep love of the White Rock community, so somehow, starting an ocean/water sports retail and rental shop was the ideal fit for us.

We opened Feral Beach Life on Marine Drive to provide a place to shop, chat, learn and rent.  

Feral Beach Life is pretty unique.  There’s a focus on Beach life here, but one that is inclusive. Both within the shop and in the online clothing store we know that beach lovers come in all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities, so we offer fun, funky, cool Feral Beach Life clothing to match that need. Plus, when you buy clothing from Feral either in-store or online, we donate a percentage of the sale to support families dealing with children with autism.

It’s part of how we do things, because helping each other feels good and right. Of course it’s even better when we’re all in clothes we love!
Sometimes feeling good and right is finding the sport or activity that fits who we are. If you’ve always wanted to learn to kiteboard, we offer lessons and rentals. Never been paddle boarding but always wanted to try? We can help there too. In fact, we offer a ladies night every Thursday so woman can try paddle boarding out with others at the same stage of learning and understanding.

Our team is always available to answer questions no matter what water sport you want to try, advance or master.  

Even skim boarding and kayaking are part of our rental offerings. Plus, for those who want more adventure out on the water, we are the only location in White Rock offering flyboarding. You’ve likely seen flyboarding in ads on TV. It’s a water jet-propulsion system that pushes you 30 to 35 feet above the water! If you’re interested, but feeling a little intimidated by the idea of flyboarding, don’t worry, it’s all done under the watchful eye of a certified instructor. Like all of our rentals and programs, safety is a key part of ensuring a great time.

For those looking for something to calm the nerves rather than pump them up, we have SUP yoga classes which is yoga done on the stand up paddle board out on the water. It’s the ideal way to relax, unwind and be surrounded by nature.
