A whole month ago I wrote a post announcing that I was taking a week off blogging.
Like many things in life where time runs away with you, a week turned into a month and in that month, personal issues put The English Teacup right to the back of my mind which I'm now hoping to remedy with some juicy, ranty features just to stir things up a bit.
To the many of you who have still been checking back and to the new readers who've kept my blog's stats nice and steady - thank you. As always, you're a huge inspiration.
For those of you who I don't know personally, I'll give you a few updates which I'll expand on later:

Like many things in life where time runs away with you, a week turned into a month and in that month, personal issues put The English Teacup right to the back of my mind which I'm now hoping to remedy with some juicy, ranty features just to stir things up a bit.
To the many of you who have still been checking back and to the new readers who've kept my blog's stats nice and steady - thank you. As always, you're a huge inspiration.
For those of you who I don't know personally, I'll give you a few updates which I'll expand on later:

- My time in Australia was unfortunately cut short, I returned to England in late January. Sad though it is, coming home just couldn't be helped thanks to unlucky circumstances, a sprinkling of innocent mistakes and a great batch of stress.
- Each day my hours are eaten up by finding a job, being miserable about not having a job, and of course, gracing my boyfriend with my emotional, cheery self! This leaves me little time and motivation to get round to writing much so bear with me and egg a soppy teenager on now and then to decorate a blank document page.
- After a sharp bump down to earth by stepping on the scales, I'm now in the process of trying to shift some weight. Unlike my usual stab at losing the pounds after half-hearted New Year’s resolutions or a particularly unflattering photo, this time it’s working.
This also means that I’m happy when I weigh myself, anxious the day before and spend the remainder of the week grumpy because I’m not letting myself eat chocolate or guiltily grumpy because I have in fact, ate chocolate.
- My Aussie Adventures (despite being home now) ARE going to continue! There’s still a lot that I haven’t covered and it might be some time before I get to go off on another adventure so there’s no way I’m giving up on writing about the one I’ve had. In the not-so-far off future, they’ll continue for real and I’ll hopefully find my way back there once more.
- Books, books and more books. Recently I’ve been reading a lot so you know what that means – more book reviews! That’s right, I’m going to absolutely attack my reading list this year and you my dears, will notice that my book reviews will increase drastically. I’d also like to proudly announce that The English Teacup has hit way over 5,000 pageviews in my absence! Again, thanks to all of you readers for your interest. Keep checking back as from now onwards there will be minimum weekly updates for you all to eat up!
