It's been one of those roller coaster kind of weeks. I've been really excited about picking up this boat we found in Ohio- it's a beautiful Starcraft Islander. It's been nearly impossible for me to contain my excitement, but even that was tempered with a bit of skepticism. It seemed too good to be true...and then Monday happened. It looked as though my funding wasn't going to pull through, but we came up with another plan and Bingo! Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our old Honda CRV. It was a great car, and it took us on countless hours of road trips and adventures. She will be greatly missed.We plan on picking up the boat on Friday.

Next....
I am now (officially) a grad student! Classes start near the end of September. This is the last step I need to take in my educational journey before I can begin teaching. Super excited!

And Finally...
I went on my first real run with my neighbor Hope. It was fun and challenging. And man, it was hot! It was thundering and lightning, and we kept waiting for the rain but it never really happened. It felt soooo nice to jump into the shower afterwards. It's been a long time since I've worked up a sweat.
