Out of the three globally available Realme GT models, only the Master Edition is officially available in the Philippines. It was released last September 24 and in this video we will unbox the Realme GT Master Edition.
The initial stocks of the Realme GT Master Edition sold out quickly last September 24 but luckily Realme had another round of their early bird offer last September 30. The stocks were fulfilled by Lazada and was already in Lazada's warehouse hence I got the package the next day.
The Realme GT comes in a bigger than usual box and inside the box you have some user guides, a USB cable, a Sim Card ejector pin, a silicon case that mimics the lines on the phone's back, and lastly you have a 65W Superdart charger.
One of the Realme Master Edition's selling point is it's unique design particularly Voyager Grey variant which was designed by Naoto Fukasawa, known for his work with MUJI and other international brands. The design of the phone is inspired by travel replicating the lines found in a travel suitcase.
The phone's leather back has a nice feel to it and is a fresh approach compared to the glassy fingerprint magnets found on most phones today.
The volume rockers are located on the left hand side together with the sim card tray while the power button is located on the right. At the bottom you have the the audio jack port, the mic, the usb type c port, and the lone speaker grills.
Screen display is a 6.43 inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The selfie Camera is located at the top left hand corner of the screen and is where you'll also notice the built-in screen protector.
The phone has a 4,300mAh battery and is capable of superdart charge with a published time of 33minutes charging from 0 to 100%.
The Realme GT Master Edition has 3 cameras. The main camera is 64MP, there's an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and finally you have a seldom used 2MP macro lens. The front facing camera is 32MP.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 778G 5G Processor which should handle your daily tasks easily. I tried playing Genshin Impact on the highest settings and surprisingly it performed really well.
The Realme GT Master Edition is capable of 5G connections and should be a nice feature to have if you're in a 5G covered location and the signal quality is good.
So far in the 2 days that I had this phone, I can't help but compare it to my Realme GT. Perfromance wise I dont feel that much of a difference. If the few differences such as having mono speakers instead of stereo is not a big deal for you then you can save a few thousand pesos and go for the GT Master Edition versus the Realme GT.
