That you do to me,

And the way you reel me in.

Like a fish on a hook,

I’ve always been,

Grab your bait..and then throw it away.

The silent control,

That you do to me,

And the black eyes that gaze.

Push pull,

Ignore me for days.

And dare I question you,

Or have an opinion,

Part of the games you play.

You wanted me to suffer,

In the way you have suffered,

A dark psychological maze.

And while I have blamed you, I also thank you,

Because you taught me who I will never be.

And a heart so closed, lead mine to widen

And feel love as warm as a thousand suns.

And while you silently seeked to dismantle me,

I have only become renewed.

And the seeds that have been sowed,

Will keep on growing tall..

Even when you rip them out of the ground,
