On the way into Whistler BC, there is wonderful lodge on the edge of Nita Lake. I’ve been there twice: in the winter of 2015 and the winter of 2016. When I first entered the lobby, it was like I stood in a welcoming wood stove. The smell of seeped in smoke hits you. The lobby is made of dark wood, wrought iron and stone work. Outside the windows, the frozen lake and snowy Mt. Sproatt fills the backdrop. There are two hot tubs: one off of the spa, looking at the parking lot; and the second one is on the ground floor and looks out to Nita Lake. The spa offers a wide range of services and my fiance really enjoyed the massage and pampering.
Nita Lake Lodge rooms are even nicer than the public amenities. The rooms are decked out in dark stained wood and shuttered dividers. The rooms are well sound proofed. Our rooms looked out onto Nita Lake making a view you could lose yourself in. On our first stay, the suite was nice. But the second stay: had a separate bed area from the living room space. The bathroom was a sprawling experience. The massive tub let two people relax in comfort. The shower stall is glass and stone: equipped for long showers.
Underground parking makes it easy to keep your car safe from the elements. The Lodge runs a frequent shuttle into Whistler village with multiple stops. The drivers are friendly and accommodating; and you can stow your ski gear in the back.
The pub, restaurant and coffee shop are all great for quality and selection. I highly recommend Nita Lake Lodge
