Dresden: Prager Street Shopping, Tapas on Munzgasse, Bye Dresden!

Last day in Dresden. We fly early in the evening so we still have a whole day really, although we were looking at going to the airport by 16:00.

We had a lovely walk on the Bruhlsche Terrace and had a light very late breakfast at Visa a Vis. The atmosphere was very relaxed and nice. I like having a slow breakfast (brunch) with a view. Taking the time to enjoy the little things in life whilst travelling.

We had a morning of sightseeing and shopping in the afternoon. In the Old Town, there is this adorable and lively alley filled with cafes and terraces called Munzgasse. It reminds me of a similar alley in Brussels, the Beenhouwersstraat (Rue des Bouchers). There is a staircase route connecting the Bruhlsche Terrace and Munzgasse. I just know this is where we will have our very late lunch.

I took more pictures of our sightseeing in the Old Town. It was a busy day.

There was an outdoor textile market at the Altmarkt (square). We didn't stay long here and we didn't buy anything as well.

We have just reached the intersection of Prager Street, the popular and modern shopping street in the city. All the major brands are here and we want to check out some of the local brands as well.

Amazing poster of Steinbruch. It is very Gucci-ish.

I cannot remember what I particularly bought here but I did buy some stuff. I may have bought a top and some clothing for the Dutchman. Girlfriend Bubbles managed to score some stuff as well.

We still have a few hours so we revisited the bustling areas of Neumarkt and Altmarkt and the equally busy and entertaining network of alleyways joined to both squares.

A little hello wave!

And a bigger embrace wave :)

Funnily, the jumpsuit I wore matched the colour accent (chairs, sofa, etc) of the hotel we stayed at. I could have been the model, worst-case scenario, their mascot.

It was time to go to Munzgasse and find a place to eat. The city is getting busier by the hour and we were hoping to find a good restaurant with nice outdoor seating. It's all about the location of your table when dining.

These stairs connect to Bruhlsche Terrace.

We saw this available nice spot at Las Tapas with some overhead heater to keep us warm and toasty. We were thinking of sharing the meal so this Las Tapas restaurant on Munzgasse is perfect.

Beer and red wine. Prost!

Tapas to share! Yum ;)

And a quick photo souvenir too.

Tapas meal is done and we are going back to the hotel to pick up our bags and catch a cab to the airport. Just a few more photos along the way.

Waiting for our flight to Amsterdam at this cafe in an atrium in Dresden Airport.

On board KLM and goodbye Dresden!
