Gulangyu or Kulangsu is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in Xiamen, Fujian province, China.

It is a pedestrian-only island located right off the coast of Xiamen and is reached by a few minutes ferry ride from the city. The island is known for its rich history and architecture, as an ‘International Settlement’ during the 1840s to 1930s.
The foreign enclave has had its glorious days, and today, its prestige, especially its architecture is preserved for posterity.
