Of Deodorants & Smartphones

Well now don't ask me why I chose this as the title for this post. Why ?
Because you're about to find out anyway...

Smartphones, as we all know have dominated our lives in ways inexplicably complex and simple at the same time. We are constantly hooked to the "social-media" which a decade ago was just starting to make some sense or break-in to our daily humdrum. These devices taught us to communicate more often and stay updated with the world around us. Although, it has "done more harm than good" is a phrase I would prefer to toss for a more subjective proposition.

More often than not internet forums are crowded with debates over the iOS vs Android / iphone vs galaxy vs Lumia spectacle and much more of similar nature. So much, that there is an imminent threat of a Third World War based on these choices (Oh darn! just for my love of exaggeration.)

Looking at the positive side, I think smartphones have fostered real growth in the way we humans communicate with each other and made us better and smarter at what we do**. Faster, easier and smarter ways to communicate are within the reach of a few swipes. Most of us do take a little bit of pride in our ability to discover and identify new ways we communicate* using these devices and kind of try to stay ahead of the pack (kind of)

** You are free to have a divergent opinion though, remember "subjective proposition" ?
*Note how I have overused this word, it probably is most noteworthy in relevance to the title !

In light of the above statements, I request you all to give deodorants the same (or more) importance as your nifty little communicators aka smartphones.

Why?? You may ask...

Well to put it simply : Deos' help you communicate far more effectively than your phones. (personal face to face communication) . If you have a bad stink / odour, it becomes very unapproachable even if you're the nicest person who has ever graced the surface of earth. Seriously. It's a very unfriendly gesture to begin with and foster any ties further.

No one should ever be a victim of this situation. Hence, an awakening with regards to the personal hygiene and comfort of your surrounding peeps seems befitting, rather than changing your smartphone every now and then for a minuscule change in its technology (oft marketed as a revolution more than half of the time.)

Think about it, its not very difficult to see the point I am trying to make. Also, deos don't cost you to the end of this earth in comparison. Cheaper, simpler, fresher ways of personal communication effectively (one of the ways, ahem.)

Maybe (just maybe) the smartphone companies hate me right me now and I might soon be endorsing the next deodorant brand, who knows, right ? Haha ! At this juncture I have some news to break which might make some of you happy (might). Scientists have found a way to send smells across the phones, yes you read it right, read more at below links :

Now, now.... do not take that for granted. You still have to buy a deodorant (& apply too),  abide by this friendly gesture for us to personally communicate (i.e. only if you don't do so).

You may think of me as an arrogant ass**** but then that hardly matters, especially when you will see the benefits of staying odour-free, which is one box checked in the rule guide of effective communication.

Disclaimer : This post isn't meant to hurt anyone's sentiments. I am just trying to solicit some common sense which unfortunately isn't distributed fairly across the length and breadth of our population, read : #justtrying
It's a social message to all the friends, family, acquaintances, people I don't know and...... aliens (i.e. if you peeps ever have some odour due to sticky / gooey liquid which you might be made of  :/ :p ) .

Read and share if you believe in the sincerity of this post and perhaps want a odour(bad)-free tomorrow. :)

Yours' truly
Ever Fragrant (best of what I can be)
