They say Buying experiences gives more pleasure than buying things. And I would agree to that because my recent experience of learning a new Language has been one of the best decisions of my life. I joined Alliance Francaise to learn French just for the pleasure of learning; that is, I did not have an end in mind, nor did I have the pressure to achieve something else, through it.
Needless to say everyone around me thought I was a little nuts. I have enough responsibilities at home and at work for not wanting to trade my free time (so, they say) on weekends for 4 hours of intensive classes which I anyway don't need. Of course, I did need it, though not in the same way that the others meant.
