Who I Am
I am a web developer, student, Rock Star musician, driver, lover, fighter, brother, son, teacher, erstewhile writer, photographer, traveller, raconteur, people-person, misanthropist...
The list could go on and on, but of note in the preceeding paragraph are two facts:
a) I have a wide range of interests and skills, which may or may not be applicable to blogging and writing.
b) I have a desire to entertain, educate, learn and provoke. The things I say may be said specifically to get your goat, or they could be straight from the heart. Here's a salt shaker - use grains as needed.
What This Is
This is a Blog. A WeBlog. Don't know what that is? I suggest that you familiarize yourself with Wikipedia, or at the very least Just Fucking Google It.
In a slightly more serious vein - this is a blog about me. Who I am is listed above. Do you see a method in the madness here? I thought so; after all, I do list "teacher" up there.
Where I Am
I live in one of the best places in the world - Southern Ontario. It's gorgeous and sunny in the summer and full of snow and wintery fun in the winter. Actually, summer can be hellishly hot and winter hellishly cold (different levels of hell, see) but it's still the place that I grew up and the place that I love. I flirt with the West Coast (Ah, Vancouver - probably the only big city that I could live in) but Home is where the heart is and my heart is here. My family, friends, life, work... it's all right here.
Where you are right now is the Blogger Website. Blogger's got a pretty decent blogging system in place; of note, specifically is the "next blog" function, which takes you to a new random blog. If you get here by using that, then please, feel free to read. Or fuck off - really, it doesn't matter to me.
When I Update
Well, that's kind of hard to determine at this point, since this is the first real entry in the blog. I would guess that I update somewhere between infrequently and sporadically. Certain times of year will be naturally quiet, such as the beginning of any semester (September, January, May, in decending order of riduculous amounts of busy) or Christmas holidays (I turn off the computer on about the 21st of December and have the Turn It Back On ceremony on about the 3rd of January. Then I wade through 97 gjillion email messages that I have, and by "wade through" I mean "delete most of the.").

Why I'm Writing Here
I do have a personal blog which I write in with alarming regularity (it is a LiveJournal in fact and I'm not posting the link just yet). I also have a blog for my band and a blog for myself in the band. Why would I start another blog? Really, there's an itch that needs to be scratched and an audience out there to be tapped. I try to avoid writing about technical things in my personal blog, and I don't usually relate stories that happened in the past; both of these are things that I plan to do here. I will also temper the mix of misadventure and techgnosis with essays or writing on, well, whatever the hell I choose. That's the joy of ownership.
I may lecture - I try not to, but my pedagogical side often proclaims itself, especially while writing.
