harsh i know this is going to get u worked up. just wanted to know why is it always down the memory lane.... why not up it or better still across it.......???? i was just having a quiet thought about our class and my future MS plans and things like that when i was jolted to reality that within a few months i would no longer be part of SPCE and all my friends would be out of touch(no one from My class has MS plans with admits from my college). so here i am presenting my memoirs of four years of engineering in a 4 part series(sorry harsh) each dedicated to one year of engineering.
1ST year :
Date : 11 Sept 2001.
i sumeet maru was in my dream college SPCE (i pay 50000 per year for this year..bit expensive dream??) taking down the time table ( i am one of those types u see...). after doing some tp in and arnd SPCE i returned home at 6. switched on the TV and saw some images of some building (later i realized it was WTC) being blown up. instantly i called up my friend and started discussing that we ought to receive one week off or better some shall bomb our college too and we would have Gurukul instead of SPCE etc etc etc. imagine just after a long layoff from studies (FEB to SEP) this person still wanted holidays. well thats the way i am .
2 days later i was in the modified drawing hall of our beloved SPCE listening to the orientation. only two things i can recollect. one person whom i saw for the first time and KT Talele saying "..... we have thrown open SPCE to you......just go for it". still figuring it out.......
the first year was fun and like a roller coaster. i was just getting hang of subjects like BEE , MEch etc etc. the reason i metioned BEE was becuase in the first lecture of BEE on the first day some mam told us "....look arnd to your left and right....only one of u three will pass in this paper......." rahul and jatin i looked at u'll. but doont worry we three passed. something funny about the subject. we had arnd three to four profs for it.... n e one rememers sukanya kulkarni, smitha pai , joseph (read asshole)........ etc etc
how can i forget Dampu (nick given to us by seniors when we were bunking our first Mech lecture....) and Kapil Bhatt. all crticize kapil bhatt i dont get it why.... after all he increased my grade from C to A in various expts and assignments thinking that i was a gujju. also there were other lesser mortals like Laxmi mam for Chem. only shining light was madhavi gokhale. she was exceptional i feel. aise hi haste khelte din nikalte gaye. aur phir dec-jan main pata chala submissions kis chidiya ka naam hai..... its horrible man believe me.
i still remember 25 Dec 2001 we had our mech test ... before that Ramu had told us that our exams were postponed to FEB.... and just before the test Ajay come to me and tells Ramu ne c*****a banaya. exams in Jan only. the amount of sweat at that time on my forehead would have easily filled 2-3 buckets of water. but thanks to some univ fellow our exams were there in FEB and all went fine.
the Sem 2 of engineering welcomed us with Engg drawing and Coomm Skills. by now i has settled down and sem 2 was not as exciting. i remember for the first time having a tiff with my friend after he broke my engg drawing ruler. also in sem 2 our results came out and i passed with decent grades. what shocked me the most was a prof giving Keya an A+ on blank drwaing sheet. this told me that if you want good termwork then its not how much i know but how much u can cha****fy. well in my four years i never did it and i am proud of it.
the sem2 exams in DJ Sanghvi with rahul and vinod ended peacefully and it seems like kal hi toh FE gaya hai.
there are lots more incidents and pictures etched in my memory . if sit and write all i will
a. fail in my term tests of MS and SS
b. there would be shortage of space on blogspot.com server.
the first year also gave me my friends like rohit patil and mausam and kiri and ajay ....the list is end less. this was FE as it is known (Fresh to Engg)
