KL 2017 On Kee Ipoh Beansprout Chicken

We started our journey from Penang back to Kuala Lumpur about 3:30PM. The return journey was not as smooth as we encountered a lot of traffic and rain.

We detoured to Ipoh to have dinner. We stopped for On Kee beansprout Chicken. We were lucky to get a table quickly. The chicken also arrived quickly.

The beansprouts came after the chicken.

Most of us  had Rice to go with the Beansprout Chicken as we already had a lot of noodles from the street food. However, the rice served here is just plain steamed rice and not rice cooked with chicken broth like what we had at Lou Wong. Hm, maybe they ran out of the chicken rice and quickly cooked some plain ones. The restaurant was very busy.

However, my brother in law prefers the rice noodle soup to go with the beansprout chicken.

We also shared a bowl of pork ball soup. This meal was not cheap at RM94 (about CAD31). By the time we finished our meal, the restaurant already ran out of chicken.

After dinner, we continued our journey home. At one point of the journey, the traffic came to a crawl. At the end of the crawl, we just realized that the crawl was caused by people lining up into the rest stop to get gas. Apparently, the gas price is expected to rise the next day. The rumours came true as the gas price increased by 20sen after midnight.

We reached home past 11:00PM, which took more than 8 hours.
