CELPIP for PR application



One of the requirements to apply for Canada PR (Permanent Residency) is that the principal applicant must meet the minimum language requirement and prove that he / she can communicate in one of the principal Canadian Language - English / French. You need to clear the language test from an agency dedicated by CIC. 




If you are planning to apply for PR  with English Language skills you can Either write IELTS or CELPIP.  Read this post to know more about CELPIP.

You will need to take CELPIP-G (general) to apply for PR. If you are taking CELPIP-G instead of IELTS then please make a note of the expected scores to make the cut for PR. 


Scoring
*As of January 3, 2013*
If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC 0 or A job, you must meet the minimum level of CLB 7 in either English or French for all four language abilities.

If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC B job, you must meet the minimum level of CLB 5 in either English or French for all four language abilities.
