Its hard to stay cynical about politics and leadership when one witnesses such a public outpouring of grief and heartfelt emotion after Sheikh Maktoum's demise.
He was one of those rare people who make us believe that good leaders, like cream, rise naturally to the top. His legacy lives on in the bright and beautiful tapestry of cultures in Dubai. His compassion and vision made it possible for people like us to make a home, 2000 miles away from our roots.
