Wikipedia's Protest: Black Out Wednesday

If you'll go to Wikipedia's site right now (Wednesday, January 18,2012), the English page has been black out to show its opposition to the anti-piracy measures Proposed in the United States Congress. In a statement, Wikipedia said if the proposed legislation is passed, it 'would be devastating to the free and open web.' The move is to protest against the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) Bill, which is aimed at combating issues like illegally copied films and TV content and and the proposed PROTECT IP Act (PIPA).

If the bill is passed, not only the Internet Users in United States are affected, but all internet users all over the world since many sites are hosted in United States, then these sites must comply to the law.

Although I am just a dot in the world wide web, I support Wikipedia's stand. NO to SOPA and PIPA!
