Since the Golden Globes, and the appearance of Uggie, the dog, "The Artist", a Silent Movie, has been making a buzz online and has been rumoured for an Oscar award. The Artist is a French film set in Hollywood 1927 and 1932 which was the transition of silent movie to talkies. It is shown in black-and-white. 

The Artist is a refreshing look of an old-style movie and a change from the 3Ds and action packed or heavy drama films of today. With its nominations and wins from the recently concluded Golden Globes, and maybe several more awards from Oscar, The Artist's success and fame will make way through the cinemas outside US.
