Animals of the wild

I have a Cousin who at the age of 33 decided to take out his tonsils...
I hear it hurts worst as an adult then as a child...And he does make sure I know it!!!
Well he had the surgery and I have been taking over soup and making sure he is doing well with the recovery stage...
Yet when I went over last night there where these two ...dare I say cute...little skunks sitting in his drive way....
I waited very patiently for them to move so that I could park and they did move but only so far as the road...which was less than 15 feet from my car door...so I sat...and I sat...and then I sat some more...
They did not plan on leaving anytime some...
Just when I thought all was lost and I was going to have to honk the horn a kitten came into the picture....
This kitten stared at the two skunks playing in the road and decided to join them...
Well the skunks didn't want to play and they sprayed the poor little kitten... and then the scurried into the tall grasses field across the street....
Finally I am allowed to enter the house without the fear of being sprayed so off the car I go...
I do the dishes warm up some dinner...all is well and now I need to use the restroom before I’m on my way...
I really should have realized that the rain had drowned out all the wild animals of west Texas away from their homes...yet it never accrued to me...Until...
As I'm peeing I see a mouse run past my foot!!!!...
Of course I scream stop peeing and jump on the toilet...trying of course to pull up my pants and balance myself so that I do not fall into my own pee...lol...
My poor sick cousin comes in to save the day...
All is well the mouse is gone the skunks are gone I can go home...
Yet as I walk outside still not realizing that the rain has caused flooding in the fields and every wild animal is looking for a place to dry off...
I step out into the porch only to yell once again because there are lizards running across the stares....
I know these poor creatures are just as scared of me as I am of them yet I have to say....
I may have left the woods of the Northwest but I have still yet to figure out how to deal with the wilds of west Texas....
