SIMPLE LITTLE GIRL PEACOCK MAKE-UP TUTORIAL

For the love of all things creepy, somebody remind me to get a backbone. And to divvy out responsibilities. And to take control of things that are fully in my control. And to be happy, because happiness lies within always. And to know that no matter how crazy life gets, I have within me the tools to tackle anything that comes my way. .  .

Please. . .

Remind me.

I woke up this morning with a list a million miles long of things to do to make today special for my kids.

1 minute before I got out of bed, my husband nudges me and says, “Can you go to Kroger and get a pumpkin for Phoebe’s class. And the tools to carve it. And. . . . .”

The time was 5:23 am . As you can imagine, I wanted to slap him.

I did not.

I also, did not tell him that he shouldn’t be telling me this, he should be doing it himself, and that by the way. . .he also shouldn’t be asking me to take Shelbi to school, because that’s his job. . .and just because I’m a stay at home mom doesn’t mean that I have endless amounts of time in which to do his bidding.

I did not say that.

But I wanted to.

And I’m sure I should have said something but I just couldn’t because everything that came to mind was crass, vulgar or very unseemly. And I do love him. So. . .I refrained myself.

And afterall. . .

It is Halloween. My very favorite day of the year.

I’m going to pull myself out of this bad mood I’m in and remember its a choice.

I can choose to be happy.

I can choose only to see the lovely in my life.

Today I will celebrate.

Today will be great.

Ay Yay Yay.

This is Bella’s costume, that I got together last night.

Well part of it. It’ll also include all black leotard, black tutu, and black leggings with peacock wings that we have left over from Shelbi’s costume a few years back.

This is just a simple Make-Up post, for Peacock adornments.  She has a mask, but if I know my sweet child Bella, it’ll get itchy and hot, and she won’t want to wear it. But she also won’t want to wear a ton of make-up, because even if it’s Halloween, she’s just not that type of kid, she likes simple.

Probably because she’s simply divine.

SIMPLE LITTLE GIRL PEACOCK MAKE-UP

TUTORIAL using cheap whatever you can find make-up

What we used:

Blue/turquoise Powder Eye Shadow

Black Creme Eyeliner

Red lip liner

Red lipstick

Halloween Glitter Gel

What WE DID:

1. I pulled her hair back into a bun.

2. Lined her upper and lower lids with black creme eyeliner.

3. Using my cheapy cheap drug store off brand make-up …  .turquoise eyeshadow. . . .

I covered her entire upper brow and lower area under her eyes with the eye shadow.

4. Using the creme eyeliner, make a small line in the inside corner of the eye. (most animals have this feature. . .it makes her look more realistic)

5.  Line lips with red liner. Fill in with red lipstick.

6. Adorn with a little fancy glitter gel. In the center of her head, below and to the side of her eyes.

And there is my lovely peacock.

Scaring nobody but her father who has to keep the boys away.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN MY DEAR FRIENDS! MAY THE DAY AND NIGHT BRING YOU FRIGHTFUL FUN

AND PLENTY OF LAUGHTER!
