Have You Noticed?

Tags: magazine
I have come to the conclusion that the layout of some women's magazines are designed to give the readers a complex. They disguise it by preaching about taking care of your body and female empowerment, but at the same time they have full page ads for junk food. Have you ever noticed? It is a mean cycle, you see full paged ads for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or Philadelphia Cheesecake. Then you crave that stuff and when you eat it you are plagued by guilt. So what do you do? Turn to the magazine's section on work outs. It is pure, unadulterated evil on the part of magazines. Or brilliant marketing, depending on your perspective. Also, most magazines are pretty hypocritical. They preach learn to love yourself the way you are; but you need this face cream to look younger and read this article to improve your performance in the sack. Another gripe I have is that the "affordable" clothes advertised is almost always upward of $100.00 per article, as if the everywoman can afford that kind of thing. Especially if you are in my finacial situation. I would swear off all magazines but I have to admit I am addicted. Maybe I am a hypocrite too.

Example: This ring is $107.08
