So I boarded my flight from Rio to Janeiro to Sao Paulo , another major city in Brazil where the plane would make a quick stop. As I took my seat I noticed that everyone was wearing masks. The swine flu scare had hit really hard in South America . There had been a lot of deaths. I was sitting next to a couple that would take the masks off to talk to each other and occasionally kiss. I would snicker quietly to myself. We had taken off and before I knew it, 45 minutes later we were in Sao Paulo . After some passengers got on, some other passengers took their spots on the plane headed to Chile . As I sat there, the honey moon couple next to me spoke in Portuguese thinking I couldn’t understand. They weren’t saying anything bad, just being romantic and silly. It was sort of nauseating in a cute way. Then… I saw him.
