Cleaning Your Kitchen – 5 Ways to Make Your Kitchen Spotlessly Clean

Making sure that every nook and cranny of your kitchen is free of stains, dust, or dirt may sound impossible, but there are actually many different easy-to-do, do-it-yourself techniques that you can try to keep this part of your home sparkling clean and everyone in the family away from any healthy risks.

Countertops

When slicing meat, some blood might get on the countertop and leave a big, red mess. You should clean it up right away to not cause any serious damage to the surface.

Prepare a solution of soap and water and spray it on the countertops. Use a clean piece of cloth, rag, or small brush to scrub the grime away. Also, go check the walls, cabinet doors, backsplashes, and kitchen appliances for spots and use the same cleaner to clean their surfaces.  If there are stubborn smears and marks, try to purchase stronger, non-toxic cleaning solutions from the supermarket.

Stove

Oftentimes, small bits of foods can get stuck around the knobs, dials, and burners of your stove. To get rid of them, you can scrape them off with the use of a toothbrush. For blobs that have hardened and are harder to remove, use a scraper and then wipe with clean rag or cloth.

It is also very common for the knobs and other stove components to accumulate grease and grime, so remove them and wash them with soap and water in the sink.

Sink

Sinks usually end up oily and greasy, with small bits of food stuck in the drain, if not properly cleaned. To fix this, it is necessary to clean your kitchen sink right after using it.

With a degreaser or cleanser that you can buy from a supermarket, thoroughly scrub the interior to get rid of the slimy buildup. Pick the food bits out and throw them in the trash. Use a toothbrush to deal with the drains and rims.

The faucet also needs to be cleaned regularly, or else it might accumulate too much calcium or other minerals and stop working properly. If this happens and you need a replacement, visit faucetassistant.com to read different faucet brand reviews and see the Faucet Assistant faucet comparison table for information on different brands and models.

When done scrubbing the entire sink, rinse everything with warm water.

Trash

Empty the trash bin in your kitchen regularly. Once the pile of garbage goes over the rim, it is time to take it out and put it in the bigger trash can outside. Also, segregate your trash into biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable to help the environment.

Floor

Crumbs, dust, and other small particles on the kitchen floor are inevitable, so sweep or vacuum it after every use to avoid dust and dirt buildup, and bacteria and mold growth.
